The gods of Devaloka
Contains SPOILERS!!
Sensus
Asura (Ruca's past life)

The arch-demon Asura was raised by Vrtra and slowly but surely gained more and more power. He was a skilled and fealess general of Sensus, who brought the war against Ratio to an end and eventually became the supreme ruler of Devaloka - the Overlord. Asura was shown to be warmhearted and respected by everyone, even his enemies. His biggest wish was to bring the world back to what it was once - in other worlds: to reunite Devaloka with Naraka.
He loved Inanna and could not imagine his life without her. However, after his beloved stabbed him in the back, he killed her in his rage.
Inanna's betrayal tore his soul in two. One part of his soul was filled with doubt and regret and was reincarnated as Ruca; the other one was filled with hatred and reborn as Mathias.
Vrtra (Hermana's past life)

Vrtra, the divine dragon was a kind mother figure to Asura. She was one of the eldest gods, respected greatly by everyone. It is said that she was as old as the world itself and she still remembered times when there was only one world. She helped Asura in many fights during the war and always supported him.
After Devaloka was destroyed she was the only god in Devaloka that survived. She couldn't die and was tormented by her loneliness that lasted eternity to her. She most probably died after Ruca was born, begging that she would meet "Asura" again in her next life.
The loneliness she felt was carried over to Hermana.
It is also shown that Vrtra was worshipped on Naraka on the island of Galpos.
Sakuya (Chitose's past life)

Sakuya, the goddess of flowers was a devoted subordinate of Asura. Meek and beautiful, Sakuya not only respected Asura, but loved him dearly. Unfortunately Asura fell in love with Inanna and Sakuya couldn't stand that. She never said anything about that matter for Asura's sake, but her hatred towards Inanna remained even in her next life.
Ratio
Himmel (Albert's past life)

Himmel was young, but incredibly important god, as he was one of the Pillars supporting the Heaven. He was Orifiel's student. He came to realization that what the Elders of Ratio were doing wasn't right and would not help Devaloka as the world was slowly falling to ruin. He wanted to form alliance with Asura but was imprisoned by the Elders before he could meet him. Orifiel promised to free him, but before he managed to do that Himmel was executed by the Elders of Ratio.
Himmel was shown to be wise, yet somewhat childish and stubborn.
Inanna (Iria's past life)

Inanna was said to be the most beautiful goddess and every man fell in love with her at first sight. She was chosen by the Elders of Ratio to go to the Sensus, steal Asura's heart and assassinate him. For that sake she was also given the Holy Sword, Durandal.
Eventually she truly fall in love with Asura and wished to stay with him. Yet, Inanna feared humans, since they killed her mother, even though she did nothing wrong to them. Because of that she couldn't allow humans of Naraka to live with gods in one world. Her fear drove her to killing Asura, when he used Manifest to reunite Devaloka and Naraka.
Orifiel (Ange's past life)

Orifiel the tactician was well known among all the gods for his vast knowledge and skills in leading the army. He was captured by the Sensus army, when he sacrificed himself to let the army of Ratio evacuated a village that was not on Asura's maps. After talking to Asura, the general let Orifiel go. Afterwards they met again on battlefield a few times and Orifiel quickly became Asura's trusted ally.
Himmel's death was very painful to Orifiel and he kept blaming himself that he couldn't save his student.
Orifiel was terrified of dogs.
The Grim Reapers
Hypnos (Ricardo's past life)

Grim Reaper Hypnos was the younger of the Grim Reaper brothers. The Ratio Elders sent him to fight in the war, even though Grim Reapers responsibility was not fighting, but collecting souls of the dead. Hypnos was killed by Asura.
Hypnos was shown to respect his brother a lot, but he did not agree with him in many ways.
Thanatos

Grim Reaper Thanatos was the only god that truly survived the destruction of Devaloka, since he was on Naraka at that time. Thanatos fell in love with a human woman and they both lived in a small village. Their children - the Grigori - were half-gods and possessed a very unique power.
Thanatos loved humans and Naraka deeply and he lived among humans as "Gardel". Yet, the centuries of his earthly life twisted his kind soul in many ways and he became obsessed with the idea of protecting Naraka. He saw Avatars as a threat and even the cause of Devaloka's destruction. Even though his goal was the same as Ruca's he refused to became their ally.
He died, killed by one of the Grigori.

It was also Durandal that was supposed to be used to kill Asura, yet it was also Asura who became Durandal's owner. Just like Inanna the sword also did not want to betray Asura and even asked him to destroy it. Asura didn't agree and in the end Durandal came to conclusion that it is merely a wapon and nothing else. He has no right to decided for himself.
Gea Bolg (Hasta's past life)

The Cursed Spear, Gea Bolg was Vulcan's first weapon with a soul forged into it. Gea Bolg was destroyed by Asura.
