Ahhh, I don't know everything about it either, but from what I understood it's like- [Wait. Ruca is from a fantasy-RPG-like world. He probably won't get if he simply says 'it's like the code that makes up the world'.]

Do you know what a code is? Or DNA?

Yeah. Though, I have to admit we didn't have much knowledge regarding that back home, but I'm studying to become a doctor, so I've read about DNA a lot here. [He trails off.

...A-anyway!... If you're asking that, I'm guessing this Numeron Code is kind of like DNA?

Oh, that's good. [He smiles in relief as he goes on to explain.]

From what I have heard, the Numeron Code is like the DNA sequence of the world! The one who has it can change everything in it, and I mean everything! You can make the world anew! You can make it so that there always have been three suns, or a green sky or that people won't get sick anymore either! You can even make somebody who doesn't love you!

I see! [He looks a little amazed.]

...What I was talking about is a little different. It's called the Manifest and it's something that can make your wish come true. You could change the world, destroy it, create a completely new one... everything is possible with it. But it's only one wish and using it isn't easy.

Hmm, I guess... [He shrugs his shoulders to imply that he doesn't really know enough to really talk about the differences.]

Is it one of those things where you have to be very, very careful what you wish for too?

Yeah, it is. But there's another thing... [His expression saddens.] You can only use it under a certain condition.

Oh? Like what?

[The way his expression changes shows that he has picked up on whatever it is most likely not being any good.]

Well, you can't use it alone. You need two people to stand before the Manifest, but only one will receive its power. [He lets a sigh.] There are two interpretations to this condition... One says that those two people have to wish for the same thing. The other one, though... is too cruel.

...so it's basically that you have to sacrifice one person's idea of what the future should be like to empower the other.

No, it's... It's not just sacrificing the other person's ideals. That second way to get the Manifest's power requires you to actually sacrifice that person.

Especially that the person you have to sacrifice has to be someone you care about. [So, not as easy as you think.] It's hard to imagine anyone could do such a thing...

Mmh, thinking of it, wouldn't this be one of the cases where it'd be better if the knowledge about it got lost? I know that the knowledge about the Numeron Code is actually like really, really, really restricted in our world, and that's why the last war about it lies really long back.

It's too late for rumors, but it is possible to stop her-- I mean those people - from getting their hands on the Manifest.
