I'll be okay, Milly won't let me get in too much trouble. And I dunno! I think the rules are different here.

[He makes an OK symbol with one hand, looking through the circular space between his fingers.]

You're feeling well now. That's good. But I'm worried how you'll feel later or tomorrow.

[Well timed, Milly tosses a water bottle at him. He doesn't catch it even a little bit, but he scoops it up and shows it to Ruca anyway.]

[He startles a little at that, but then grins real wide, doing a funny little please wiggle on the floor.]

Oh, yay, I'm glad. You're super important to me, I don't think I'm very good at saying that.

[Oh Tanjiro. Ruca is touched even if he's still worried.]

I'm glad to hear that, but don't worry too much about saying it. Even without words I can tell. And I really appreciate how much you care about me.

[zutsuki]

[He gets real close to the screen and squints.]

...Ruca are you psychic and you didn't tell me, this whole time? Can you read my mind? Oh man, what am I thinking. [...this absolute walnut.]

Ah, no, no. I just meant that you're very kind to me so I can tell by your actions that you care.

I can't read minds.

[zutsuki]

[He laughs at that, and it's a dumb laugh-- the kind of laugh that's very honest and true, and very enthused, but maybe one you're embarrassed by other people hearing. It's mostly just because he's drunk, but it's fine.]

Well, that's a little less fun but also probably a lot better for everybody. Reading minds would be really hard, I think. 'Cause you'd know everybody's thoughts all the time? That's too much.

[Okay he's going to switch to video because it's weird to reply with text all the time.]

I guess so. I've never met anyone who can do that.

I dunno that I have, really, either. I guess Muzan could kind of do it but that was more like gross creepy stalking by blood, and nobody wants to talk about him anyway. [He makes a very sour face.]

[He groans, rolling his eyes and laying flat on his back in a dramatic display. It's... probably pretty funny, given how usually composed he is.]

Yeah, that's the best way I can think of to describe it. Muzan, the progenitor of demons, he'd turn people into them by forcing them to ingest his blood. They'd either die or acclimate and become a demon, and in the latter case he could follow their movements and I guess hear their thoughts and words? If any of them talked about him they got killed. [The stankest of stank faces. Man he hates that guy.]

That's... really horrible and scary.

[He doesn't like it at all.]

But I didn't do things like that! It wouldn't be even possible to turn a human into a demon.

Ah...

[Oh no, is Milly somewhere close? He completely forgot about her!]

[He makes a vague sort of gurgling sound that is somewhat laugh like, reaching out to set two fingers over Ruca's face on his phone screen.]

Shh, I wouldn't have ever thought you would. You're way too sweet for that.

[The gesture makes him blush slightly.]

Ah, I...

[He wants to say that in the past life he definitely wasn't "sweet", but refrains from that.]

There's still so much you don't know about me. [He says with a sigh.]

[He taps his fingers to the screen again, rumbling a funny little laugh.]

And I apparently engage in underage drinking, which I didn't know about myself. I still know you're sweet.

[He blushes more, then tries to change the subject of the conversation.]

Don't drink any more than you already have, okay? And if you need someone to help you get home, let me know.
